Mrs. Amy Adams

Dear SJES families, 

It is with tremendous excitement that I serve as principal at South Jackson. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to partnering with you for an amazing year. 

I have been an educator for over twenty years. During my time in Jackson County, I have served as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. I am a graduate of the Jackson County School System, and my family and I live in the Jackson County community. I attended Gainesville College and Brenau University to obtain my bachelor’s degree, the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!!) for my master’s degree, and back to Brenau for my specialist’s degree.

My philosophy of education centers around the importance of building relationships and a whole learner focus. We must embrace and nurture the social, emotional, and cognitive needs of ALL students to optimize achievement. We must come together and empower students to have a voice in the creation of their learning paths. When learners, teachers, families, and our community unite to co-author the learning journey, it unlocks potential and accelerates learning. My goal for SJES is for EVERY student to have a joyous, meaningful, and successful educational experience that prepares them for their best future! Together, we will have many great days at SJ! Go Eagles!
